If only Avid owned some sort of audio production software that they could borrow the technology from...

Great ideas, this forum is a goldmine sometimes! Although I pity the editor who has to mute and solo 34 tracks of audio. I normally get between 12 and 24 tracks on my sequences and that's painful enough - hence my feature requests for better mute/solo interaction: https://community.avid.com/forums/t/202569.aspx https://community.avid.com/forums

Agree with Trevor, the clip gain faders on each clip were a really welcome addition. Andi

Have an R6 and 2 x R8s. They are considerably better than the G-Tech G-Speed Shuttle that I also have; quieter and faster. Swapped out the drives in the R8s for bigger one's and went without a hitch so you can expand easily too. Haven't tried the OWC though, just endorsing the Pegasus. Andi

Is the audio from the cameras or from external mics or a mixture of both? Do you need all the audio tracks or are some of them mute/unused? If it's externally recorded audio and you need all 34 tracks to be on seperate tracks as part of a group then you need to rename the tracks BEFORE ingest so that Avid knows where to put them. Coincidentally

I feel you Danny, Boris is expensive (although it is awesome), and it is galling to have to pay that much cash just to get a titler. I've been being hassled by the production I'm on for ages as to why we can't buy new Mac hardware and I have to keep telling them that we can't. They understandably want to buy the kit instead of continuously

If you want to guarantee Boris will work with you titling solution then I'd suggest Title Studio from... Boris FX. They were giving away a free copy a while back, not sure if that's still a deal they are doing or not. Haven't upgraded in two years because I need the older titler for legacy projects. So Avid has had 2 years worth of cash

Hey Jeroen, I had a case open but had it closed as they were unwilling to look in to it further because i used Groupitforme to group my sequences. The intros that it happens on though don't contain any grouped clips and it's something that starts only after a crash or shutdown so it is definitely not groupitforme. Marianna kindly reopened a

One thing I can say for sure is that it always happens to clips which have a timewarp on them. As is always the case, I have added colour corrections using Symphony, closed the sequence - in this case shutting down Avid (although sometimes this will occur after a crash) - and then upon reopening this morning I get the update corrections message and

I won't be paying a penny more until this is fully fixed. Over two years I've been waiting to upgrade from 2018.12.8 and all I see is complaints. No more subscriptions from me. Andi
