Thanks for the suggestion. Bizarely, using a ProRes output from AE works better than a DNxHD one.

Hi Phillip - This happens on multiple projects. I was running version 2022.7 prior to the upgrade however linking to output from After Effects has been unreliable for some time, it seems since the implementation of UME instead of Quicktime it seems. I'm thinking I should do a clean install on MC instead of the 'in-place' upgrade. As soon

I have been doing some work in After effects (simple lower thirds templates supplied by client). I usually output DNxHD files with alpha channel from AE and link to MC. This is so thsat I can amend the AE file (if necessary) and re-output to same file name and it will automatically update in MC. For soe reason this seems to have stopped working. MC

Hi I have a project which produces this error when I try to play it. I can scrub through the footage, but not play it. Has anyone come across this and can suggest a solution? Matt B

Hello. I came to archive a completed project which was largely kept a linked files. However when I open the project noe some of the linked clips (DNxHD wrapped in quicktime MOV wrapper exported from After Effects) wont display in MC; instead I see the error message "AMA_MAPPER_ERROR_CANT_GET_MAPPER" in the source and record monitors. The BM Intensity 4K works very well for me and very reasonably prices in IMHO. If you don't need SDII'd say it's a no-brainer.

Thanks Andrew and Steve for responding. Steve - you're correct its not a symphony system. I'll have to check on the cache configuration (not at edit suite at the moment), but with 64GB RAM is that even likley? Andrew - I have tried toy workaround and it doesnt seem to matter whether the CC mode is working on linked 4K or transcoded HD media

I have a 5 minute corporate that I'm working on. It is a 1080p project, but some of the interview footage was shot at 4K (to give re-framing scope). I have been doing some basic CC work, but MC slows down to a snail's pace, often hanging for minutes at a time before it comes back. Swirch back to SourceRec mode and MC is back to normal speed

so I have just shot some 4k footage on a Sony FS7 and decided to transcode to DNxHR to edit. For some reason audio track 5 still shows up as 'linked' while all other tracks show as transcoded. (see screen grab of source timeline). There is nothing on A5, so it's inconsequential, but why? Any ideas?

Actually, since I rolled back to Windows 10 build 1803 I still have this error. I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling MC (2018.11) but to no avail.
