The only way to do fullres HD to SD Pan and Scan in the Avid was using a QTRef.mov in AvidFX. Version 6 does not support .mov files and therefore QTRef files. Just found out it is "New Feature" in FX6!!! Anyone have a good soultion for a High Res HD to SD Pan and Scan?

To me, the big issue and what is broken, now how do you do a Full Res Pan and Scan from HD to SD? That was the main reason for importing .mov into FX, not six inputs. Anyone have a new solution???

I was trying to do this in FX. However, the only input movie file I could import was .avi or .mpg! Tell me that FX can use a .mov file for input! Otherwise, how do I pan and scan and keep full res?? Thanks for your help.

I did: "Tried using Squeeze 6.5 with DV NTSC preset, it crashes when I click on Squeese It!"

Trying to export a NTSC DV .mov out of MC 5.3.3. Did mixdown DV50. Direct export out of Avid using Quicktine DV export, the movie I get shows up as 640x480 in QT Player. Tried using Squeeze 6.5 with DV NTSC preset, it crashes when I click on Squeese It! Any advice or ideas anyone?

Try doing a complete audio and video mixdown and try exporting that.
