I have found an interesting work-around. If you first load a small picture (I used the .pct files in the FX tutorial practice media like waves.pct) which loads fine, then you can load any size file with no errors.

I take that to mean that you recomend not using the patch?

Go to the advanced setting om the DVD_NTSC_Lg and check your field encoding. I set mine to Bottom Field. Also make sure you have Deinterlace turned off in the filters.
