Thank you so much! This works perfectly! And it is quick through Source Browser and Source Settings. In this case the audio is not a big issue because I really only need the visuals for a tutorial series, but it is good to know what the solution is if I do need to use the audio later on. Much appreciated!

Thanks for your reply. Is there a way of speeding it up to 25fps from within Media Composer? Do I still bring the files in through the Source Browser?

Can anyone recommend a solution for converting 24fs footage for use inside a 1080p/25 project? I find that the default conversion that MC does when I import the clip is not very smooth. After Effects seems to do a better job, but it is quite a lenghty round trip with a lot of footage. Using MC 2021.12

This is going to sound like a complete noob question, but here goes - I've completed a big project that included 9 series of 15 episodes each. It ran over 3 years and there is a massive amount of bins. Some of the media is locked and I want to delete it. Going through each and every bin will take ages... Is there an easy way to locate the bins that

Man do I feel like an idiot now...! I was looking under Composer Settings in Preferences Thank you, found it! And it also fully solved the issue I was having. Much appreciated camoscato!

Thanks for your quick reply. Render-on-the-fly was my first thought as well, but I just can't find it! Looked everywhere, Composer menu included...nothing. Any idea where it now lives in 2021.6? Have they perhaps renamed it? I tried the Video Display settings menu (right clicking Yellow/Green button) but no change there either. I can confirm that

I'm dealing with a new issue on my system that is probably easy to fix but that I cannot find a solution for: I'm currently running 2021.6 and from about +-2 updates ago I find that my green dot effects are no longer realtime. When I'm parked on an unrendered green dot effect in the timeline the record monitor is blank/black. When I press
Hey all, just to finish this subject off: For me, this issue got resolved! In Media Composer Version 2021.3 this issue got adressed and Bug Number: MCCET-3729 mentions the fast import issue. Thanks to everyone involved helping and fixing!
I can also confirm that I'm seeing Fast import again in MC 2021.3

Thanks for your reply. Yep, agreed on HEVC. The camera and format choice wasn't mine, I just received the footage to work with. I contacted Avid support this morning and they too pointed me to the plugins. Fortunately Adobe Media Encoder seems to fly through these files quicker than After Effects did. So at least I'll be importing DNx into Media

I need to import media shot with a Panasonic AG-CX10. The files are .MOV, 4K HEVC at 50fps. Media Composer 2020.10 will not allow me to link to them through the source browser, offering Import only. When imported the audio is fine but the video gives the green screen typical of unrecognized codec issues. After Effects does recognize the files and will
