I read the FAQ on this, but one aspect of the MC5 upgrade pricing seems odd to me, so I just want to make 100% sure I fully understand this. It appears that if I do a "download" upgrade from MC3.5, it would be $395 plus $295 for the "production suite" if I choose to buy it. This totals $690. If, however, I do a "box" upgrade

I noticed that with MC4 purchases made after April 12, you automatically get version 5 when it's released. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to waiting until version 5 is released and just getting it at that time -- i.e. will there be any difference in the upgrade price to go from 3 to 5 later as opposed to going 3 to 4 now and then getting

I think I may have found a significant clue to what's causing this issue. Tonight, the pictures in my P&Z effects were missing again, so I re-opened the effect editor to re-select the picture for one of them. I clicked on the little box to bring up the picture selection box, and it came up with a path/filename already written in the "File

Just another update to this issue: I tried using the "free cache" option in the effect menu, and it didn't help. I also find that sometimes even AFTER I fix the issue (i.e. everything appears normally in the timeline), the pictures are gone again after I render the top track, meaning that my render is useless since it has "black holes"

This has really become a serious problem for me today with this particular project. I render out a top track ("safe color" effect), but when the pictures in my P&Z effects disappear, the top track, even though it was already rendered, suddenly gives me the red line (i.e. needs rendering.) I don't want to individually render each P&Z
