Just to clarify: omf files go into the 'OMFI MediaFiles' folder, not into 'Avid MediaFiles'.
On top of that, the OMFI MediaFiles folder has to be at the root of the drive.

On older OMF based Avid systems the software used to detect duplicated media files at startup, and offer the option to delete either the older or the newer istance. At some stage scanning and indexing media files in such a fashion was changed in order to speed up startup. Nevertheless it would have been useful to retain a "Scan for duplicate files"
It would be amazing if MDV could sync two Avid drives....
Have a look at FreeFileSync https://freefilesync.org/ don't know if it does everything You ask for, but definitely worth a try. And yes, there's an MDV Windows version, but has not been updated for quite a while, unfortunately if I may.

So You think that Adobe and BM with their simple and clear pricing, that is one fee for the full product, don't know their way around? Please do not make my work unnecessarily overcomplicate with crazy main software and optional licenses management, please, please, please. I have to spend my time cutting, not getting mad after mantaining licenses

If You're at picture lock You can 'commit multicam edit' and do Your frameflex things. Awfully orrendous tool by the way.

Forget and forgive me for the OTish question...
The only thing you may do to bugger things up in Avid is have it convert the frame rate. This could present issues, but even at that I find Avid is very good at tracking the proper data.
Could You please give more information? I linked 50p footage into a 25i

Is AfterEffects running off a recent Mac? If yes I'm not surprised, Apple only want You to use ProRes, they're killing support for other file formats.

Hiya to You too! And welcome to the forums. I can see that recent MC releases have the bad habit of not drag and drop importing stuff without even spitting out an error message as to why that is happening. I thought that was mostly on Mac, but I was wrong. Use the source browser instead of drag and drop, either for link and transcode or import. If MC
