• Re: MC 8.9.3 - Markers dialog comments not automatically selected
I can't immediately type unless I click on the comments box. Before 8.9.3, the comments box would activate automatically and I could start typing without any extra clicking.
That is what I found with 8.9.3 when I checked it on a W10 machine. Edit Add Updated a W7 Pro computer from 8.9.2 to 8.9.3. This machine

  • Re: a tiny wishlist for future updates

For blending I would much rather Avid negotiated with BM so all MC users had affordable options for Fusion + Edit Connection. Why? It offers quality blending available on all effects. Good keying options, Comprehensive 3D titling. Great Pan and Zoom, Versioning etc etc. (none of which are MC strong points). Background rendering with your timeline updating
  • Re: MC 8.9.3 - Markers dialog comments not automatically selected

Have you checked your Marker settings and made sure "Disable Marker pop up when adding" has not been checked. (right click in the Markers Window to access Marker settings) Typing works with 8.9.2 on W7 after adding Marker from KB. (Sorry tested with 8.9.2 first.) 8.9.3 test On W10 the Marker pop up window opens from KB add marker but typing

  • Re: MC 8.9.1 and Boris RED 5.5 Conflict

Have you tried Red 5.6?. It installed two C++ versions here with a clean install on a W10 computer. I hope to upgrade a W7 Pro to 8.9.3 over the weekend and test Red 5.6. Edit Add I updated to 8.9.3. Red 5.6 was already installed. Opened a project. On a timeline I added a Red 5.6 RT transition to each edit. Added CC to each clip. Had no issues with

  • Re: MCF 8.9.3 has been released

Looks like useful new features and a resonable number of bug fixes to me even if some hoped for ones did not make it this time.

  • Re: Codecs LE package don't install on Windows
it don't seems to install anything (the "program files" folder is empty)
I think this is just the way Avid install works. It creates an empty folder in the Program Files (x86) If you open the Avid Application Manager Plug-Ins page does it show Codecs LE (2.7.4 installed)? It does here with Windows

  • Re: How to sync all audio in timeline, at once?
So you can confirm then that there's not a magic "sync all" button?
Yes (apart from employing a first rate Assistant of course) Do you edit with Sync locks on? If not it MIGHT solve some of these background misadventures. (I have never liked them so do not use them) . Both ways work!! For simplicity

  • Re: How to sync all audio in timeline, at once?

Select one the audio track out by -333. At the head of the timeline mark in . Then +332 and set a mark out. Insert edit filler to the audio track. That will move all the audio clips on that track by 333 frames. (If I have got this backwards the number will jump to -666. To fix undo and then cut the 333 frames.) Repeat for the other (-335) audio track

  • Re: Moving project from computer to..

I move a little away from standard avoiding Avid's "Private" or "Shared" options by always using " External" when creating new projects. This allows me to standardise with an Avid Projects Folder at the root level of any harddrive on any machine. Note using an E:\ data drive in the attached image. All my computers have
