If your DVD creation app can create a DVD folder instead of burning to disc you can just whack in your additional files manually and burn with Nero or whatever. Adobe Encore definitely has the ability to do this for you built in, I just double checked (DVD-ROM Content option on the Disc tab). Encore also happens to be a fantastic DVD creation app all

Only XP Pro 32bit. Search for Vista, there's a very recent thread discussing reasons and how likely a Vista port is anytime soon.
-
Oh, found it . That doesn't mention 5.7 having 720p24/25/50 support tho, is that a known fact from some other source?
-
Yeah yeah same old. Where did that come from anyway, grayboy?
-
Anyone else see this ? Bit of a joke. The HD100 is apparently supported, the document just conveniently never mentions 720p25 or 24. Still waiting for the slumbering beast to wake up and tell us something.

...Bling? Can... Can I get that for XP Pro? Will they include it in SP3?
-
There is some real advantage to be made when going 64 bits but until that time Vista is nothing and absolutely nothing more then a pimped ride called XP That's not true. Vista includes some huge improvements to XP under the hood such as .NET 3.0 (including WPF) and DirectX 10, but at the moment there really isn't anything taking advantage of that tech

Yep, there's a crapload of discussions of problems with Avid here on the Avid forums. Ever been to any other NLE's forums? ;) They're not "making it a hassle", it's a crapload of work that is completely unnecessary to rush. Moving to Vista would mean forcing everyone who wants to take advantage of newer XPro versions to shift to Vista straight away

Yep, Avid's been doing some stupid things lately but not moving to Vista immediately is definitely not one of them. Vista's got some massive changes under the hood that will require some big rewrites to a hardware intensive app like Avid. They have a lot of other things they need to do before they make Vista compatibility a priority.

I'm not holding out hope, but geez it'd be nice if they threw in a HDV1 import filter with that March release. Wouldn't be so bad not being able to natively ingest from my HD100 if I could at least just import the HDV1 stream directly into Avid (getting transcoded to DNxHD). At the moment it'll still be capture, convert, import, that middle step being
