I think he means the Quadro "K"4000, not the regular Quadro 4000 (which IS a heating monster). The K4000 produces way less heat and consumes way less power than the Quadro 4000. Ihave both and both work great with Avid and Adobe CC combo.

For MC 6.5.3 make sure you are using matrox driver 7.1 (build 1294).

Are you using Matrox Drivers 7.1.0.1294? I wouldn't use 7.3.0.1822; although 7.3.0.1822 may work, they were optimized for Telestream. Matrox Drivers 7.1.0.1294 were optimized for both Premiere CS6 and Avid 6.5.

Gotcha. Just taled to Nvidia, and yeah, when you use "prefer maximum" the clock speeds are maxed when using 3D/editing programs that use the GPU. It's all good. Afterburner keeps the GPu nice and cool. Thanks for the replies! Salud
