  • JVC Verite V.S FSi - Help choosing a grading monitor

I'm thinking about buying a monitor for my new editing room. I can't afford an high-end monitor, but I still would like to be able to do some grading for broadcast if needed. So far I've narrowed my choice to 3 monitors, but I'm not sure witch one would be the best. I'm looking for some feedback if you used any of those. Feel free

Finally, I re-installed my whole system and everything seems to be working fine now! I really can't say what was wrong, as my folder structure is still the same. My guess is that my number of files was so big; it took Avid about 15-20min before I could see the "SCANNING" dialog box. For the record, because I have hundred of hours of footage

  • Re: Canon 5D Markiii without transcode ?

Thank you for your answers. You are right, I might be better to transcode in AVID. The reason I was think of doing it this way is because in the past, the only DSLR edit i did was in FCP7, and everything was converter prior to import. At the same time, in my experience Avid has never been fast at transcoding/exporting, might still be better to do it

Thank you so much (everybody) for trying to help me. I can’t believe it is so hard to make it work. MC7 has been release for a more than 6 months and Canon C300 for a few years. I have been able to make it work in FCP7 in matter of seconds… If anybody is willing to make some test, I have put online a few test clips I shot this morning.

Thank you, your guide was helpfull but still no chance for me. I've tried every folder just to be sure without any luck. Are you aware of conflict with OS X Maverick ? I'm still having the feeling I dont have the propper plugin for my C300 MXF file... As I said earlier I have installed the Canon XF Plugin 64 for Avid Media Access 2.0.3 but the

Dylan, Do you use MC7 and were you able to link to complete folder or did you have to select each file manually ?

There does not seem to be a "LINK TO VOLUME" anymore in MC7. Only "AMA LINK" as you can see on my screen shot. Do you think the plain "MXF" is the way to go or I should see something more specific to Canon ? Thank you.

  • Canon LUT and MC7

Is there a way of installing Canon C300 LUT.csv files as MC7 doesn't seem to be importing the csv file. Or anyway to "translate" it ? I've seen old post about this but can't seem to find an answer.
