• Re: CoreAudio Underrun - Is computer "leaking" ram?

I don't know what that issue is, but something has been wrong with Avid and the Mac and audio since around version 5.5 or 6 of MC and Mountain Lion on the Mac side. I have problems wth this and the dreaded AMPI Subsystem error since that time. The latter is a real killer as the only way to deal with it is a reboot. For the CoreAudio Underrun error

  • Re: Avid 7 keyframes fault?

Hey Trev, have you tried a new user profile? I have had a lot of issues with audio keyframes (I know that's not your issue, but...) in MC 7. I can grab keyframes and work with them and then all of a sudden I can't. My solution was a new user profile, and I have to just make a new one every couple months when the problem comes back.

  • Re: Deselecting Clips?

An update on my post here - I got the proper mark clip behavior by adding dragging the "Add Option Key" onto the "T" key for marking a clip. Then it started behaving as expected, where I could mark, move the playhead mark a new clip and everything worked. I am not sure why this fixed it, because I had previous tried Option-T and
How are you marking the clip? In one of the Segment modes? or lassoing? something else?
Oops, sshould have been clear about that - I am using a keyboard command, Mark Clip. I have tried using the hamburger menu as well and that has the same behavior.

  • Deselecting Clips?

Sorry to make a thread for this but I simply cannot figure it out and it is really slowing me down when trying to go through the steps to make subclips for multicam. When I mark a clip, I cannot mark a new clip without clicking somewhre on the timeline (a blank area) to "deselect" the clip. Otherwise, even though I position the playhead over

  • Re: Canon C100 import settings and workflow

Anybody have experience using ClipWrap for this with Avid? We just got a C100 and are going to be shooting a huge variety of projects on it. I can AMA the AVCHD "file" (folder) into Avid and playback is great. When I ClipWrap the files same as source, Avid locks up playing back AMA. For the time being I am going to just AMA the originals,

  • Re: Replacing AMA audio files with transcoded audio in Composer 7

If you transcoded the from the AMA linked files, you should be able to just use relink on the sequences and tell it to relink audio and point it at the drive where you transcoded your audio to. Is that not working?

  • Re: Relink to DaVinci dailies

What about syncing everyhing in sequences and then send those sequences to DaVinci via AAF, relink to original clips in DaVinci, create new dailies with the LUT and send everything back to Avid. THEN make subclips from there?

  • Re: Easier way to apply effects to clips?

I know what you mean - I figured you were probably doing a bunch of different stuff which would be tricky. I know this is never the answer anyone wants to hear but I have "outsourced" some of this type of work to Keyboard Maestro (you could also use Quick Keys, I think Keyboard Maestro was half as much). Whenever I have to do a lot of tedious

  • Re: Easier way to apply effects to clips?

One thing you can do is add select clip to a keystroke so that you can can select the clips quickly. If you are adding the same effect a bunch of time to a number of clips, the best thing to do is to grab the effect and put it in a bin, then go through and mark all your clips, then double-click the effect in the bin. You can select multiple clips by
