• Re: How to relink to transcoded clips?
If you can't remove the media you should be able to select the sequence(s) and do a relink to the specific resolution DNX36
This would be impossible, because we are working with 6 editors on different sets on 1 project at the same time. The clips that had to be changed are in hundreds of sequences.

  • How to relink to transcoded clips? [problem solved]

Dear Avid Community, I am working on a feature in dnxhd36. There are some clips that were forgotten to transcode to dnxhd36 and need to be transcoded right now to that format. (they were consolidated in the native codec of the camera). The problem is, these files are already in a lot of sequences. (Working with 6 editors on a project at the same time

  • Re: Avid Media Composer 6/7 sluggish

Totally agree with you Robin. 5.5 has super fast editing and trimming timeline capabilities which 6 and 7 dont have. Lets keep this thread under the spotlight.

  • Re: Bug Report: Search function in MC702

Update: In the Find window -> settings -> search data folder -> changed the search data folder from "Default" to "Other". Navigated to my Avid project folder and designated it as the "Search Data Directory". Silver ball starts indexing again to green. Finding option now works again! Will post, if the problem continues

Update: Deleting the _SearchDB_ folder and letting Avid rebuild it. Silver ball starts indexing and turns green. Does not solve the problem, the error still exists after the rebuild.
Hi Helena, Let's try to figure this out. When you go to the Find dialogue, there's a 'button' at the bottom of the window called Bin Index. When you first open your Project it starts off grey, but as the Avid 'indexes' your Bins it should go green. This generally takes a few minutes - it depends

Any Avid Moderator/Admin? Anyone? I am getting sick and tired of the fact that Avid is so called ''listening to the professional'', but in reality does not give a *** about bugs or problems that a member is trying to get under attention on this forum. This is all we have since there is no other customer support from Avid in my country
I've not had this on my system. You say 'some of my scenes' - so some work OK? Do you see any connection/difference between those that can be searched for and those that can't?
Sorry for the mistype. My english isnt that spot on. To set things straight: I have not been able to perform a search

  • Bug Report: Search function in MC702

Dear Avid Community, Working on a feature, i need to be able to search quickly within my project for scenes and takes. Normally I use CMD+F for this with no problems. But within MC702 i have not been able to search some of my scenes or clips back without the following error: Can somebody at Avid (or other users) check this out for me? And respond back
