Woody has been successful as a professional video editor, working as a production editor in the Arts & Entertainment division of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He has spent years performing online and offline editing for broadcast television. He was also a visual effects compositor on Season 4 of SciFi's Lexx. While living in England, Woody worked for Avid as a specialist in Media Composer and Avid DS. He taught editing courses for Avid and served as a consultant for the European Professional Services group of Avid.  He wrote the NC395 | Newscutter Support Essentials course and the DX395 | Avid DX Support Essentials courses, and revised the CS400 course for the Media Composer Adrenaline 2.0 release.  He was also employed by Avid's Sports division as a trainer for Avid's pro-college and NFL customers. He was a post-production consultant on Batman Begins, and a technical consultant on Harry Potter's 2 and 3. He was a trainer in broadcast news workflow at Al Aan TV in Dubai, TV3and RTE in Dublin, BBC London,Aberdeen and Glasgow, and spent a year working for TV2/Kobenhavn, Denmark's 24-hour news channel. Woody holds trainer certifications in Final Cut Studio, Colour, Xsan, Final Cut Server and Apple's Motion, and 'Expert' certification in Adobe After Effects.  He also is a contributing author to Apple's upcoming "Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Server Support Essentials." He presently teaches Avid's professional 3-5 day course cirriculum at Splice in Toronto and Halifax Canada.  He's available to deliver on-site training.
