Encoder used to be great for creating a file out of Avid's quick time reference. Recently it doesn't work any more. I managed to find some settings which worked, but every project I have to research from start. Try this: Output> Export to File> Export Settings: Untitled. Options> Export... (read more)

Hello! I tried using AVI to export but my project is 23.98 fps and the only option the Avi codec gives me is 24, 30, etc. Also, I tried exporting an AFF file to DaVinci to try exporting from there but the gamma is already shifted! I even relinked to the camera files and the gamma is still shifted! I... (read more)

  • MC6 C300 AMA Workflow and Export

Hey guys, I am new to Avid MC6 and I come from FCP7 and was wondering if you could help me out. I have a doc which has 5D and C300 footage on a 720p 25fps project. To import the 5D footage was really easy and had no hassles whatsoever, however, I had a problem with the C300 footage shot on 50fps. I searched... (read more)

  • Avid Codec (Mac) that will work in Avid DVD on my PC

I'm using Avid Media Composer 5.5 on a Mac, and have just finished editing a short film. I'm ready to export it, and get it to a DVD, and up until now I was pretty sure that I was going to render out an .mov file from Avid using the Send to QT Movie codec, and then put the .mov file through my...
