[help] Multigroup audio track
Hey all, So we're running into a bit of gotcha with our documentary workflow and wanted to see if anybody has any solutions here to help make our wofkflow more efficient -- because right now it's brutal. We have roughly 100 interviews, each shot on 2 cameras, and each camera has two audio tracks...

FrameFlex in Multicam mode
Hello, and with my apologies if this has been answered elsewhere. I searched a good while before deciding to post. Here's my question: Is it possible to adjust Flex Frame settings of one camera in a group clip while editing in a multicam mode? Specifically for this instance: I have a two camera shoot...

Avid Media Composer Multi Group only shows first Sub Group
I created a multigroup based out of several Groups, but the multigroup only shows the first Group which is about 30 seconds, while the entire sequence I am trying to multigroup is 40 mins.A nyone has any ideas why this problem typically occurs? It should be a pretty simple multicam exercise. There are...

Re: Speed Changes In Avid!!
Thanks guys for all the feedback! I really appreciate it! While we're on the subject of multicam clilps - I have a question about the audio that's showing up when I make a multicam clip. The production team shot with the Sony F5500 which has it's own audio tracks that carry over when I make...

Moving a Project with Media on Multiple Drives
Hi, I am on a job using Media Composer 5.5. I am currently working on a project with Avid Media Files on two separate external hard drives. I may have to move these to a tower or single large hard drive and was wondering what the best way to do this is. The project contains sub clips, grouped clips,...

Ungrouping Grouped Clips
Took over assistant editing a project where the previous assistant(s) grouped and synced everything at the same time. Obviously, they were trying to save time, but now I have to sync each camera individually and add those takes to the scene bin with the grouped clips. They simply gouped the cameras ...

Colour/color correction in multicam edit help please
Does anyone have a simple workflow for colour correcting a clip from a second camera to match the main one? Main cam follows the action on (concert btw) stage while 2nd cam is more or less fixed on wide shot, so colours & white balances differently. Should it be done before the multicam cut, in which...

Viewing grouped clips on the client monitor
Hey guys, I've searched everywhere for this with no luck. I have done this before but I don't remember how. Basically when working with multigroup clips, how can I set it up to view the dual split in my client monitor? I can see them fine in the source monitor but the client monitor only shows...

Grouping Question
Hi guys I'm an assistant editor for a production company here in ny. We have footage shot on 2 cams with 2 xlr lavs per cam. Lately the editors have been asking me to paste audio from all 4 channels on the sequent so they can hear what everyone is saying. Now I use multigroup but that generally only...

multi camera editing on sequences
i'm new so be gentle. I see how to take two clips group them e.g. with synced in points and do an on-the fly multi camera edit. My source is two sequences of clips [files broken into 2G chunk MTS files from 2 canon Vixias]. As i understand it i can't 'group' sequences, just clips so how...
