    Crying [:'(] Quicktime Export

Is Avid planning to fix the Quicktime Export function on MCA? It was one of the key points for us and the workaround is kind of a drag.

Most of our projects are now being ported to web or dvd.

Please make it easier to export!

I'll second this... I will not upgrade to 1.8 or 1.8.1 because of this factor and my total inability to playback real time effects.  QT export time being so slow is a total show stopper for me.

    Re: Quicktime Export

I've found that a 23 minute show can take over an hour to export. what a nightmare. plus.... do not installe quicktime 7 or the 'same as source' QT export wont work.

My workaround: open the cut on a symphony and we're golden. I know that's not a realistic option for most people.
