Re: Should I be concerned yet?

There is no need to panic. If you are properly registered you will get the email. If you do not get the email we will assist you in getting the information you need to get your upgrade. Just be patient. The emails are going out a bit slower than planned. This is a big project with over 100,000 emails that have to go out across the world. Just relax and if you have not already done so, download the trial version and play with it.

Marianna is swamped with emails from Liquid users...hundreds of them. Please everyone be patient. Wait until the middle of the week and give her a chance to catch up.

    K6EDG:

Bottom line - I have registered accounts for Avid Liquid 7 and the box is checked to keep me informed of offers and upgrades.  I will let this rest until Monday.

    Thanks all for the help!!

ps. yes, I am checking my junk mail and nothing there either......

As Lew said, it could take a while to get through all the backlog.  According to a post by Marianna, apparently there is a glitch in the European e-store with these accounts, which could delay everything.  Remember that we are talking about 100,000 e-mails to all corners of the world and the corresponding discount codes for the local e-stores to be cross referenced.  Anyone who has worked with any software knows that this could be a recipe for disaster.  I would be very surprised if there are only minor glitches and delays in this huge operation.

As long as you are registered with any version of Liquid before March 10/10 and have checked the box for allowing Avid/Pinnacle to send you messages, you should be good to go.  I am not really expecting to see anything in my Inbox until Wed. or Thurs.  If nothing happens by next week, then I will e-mail Marianna, but until then we don't need to overload her.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

Re: Should I be concerned yet?

Something I worry about is the fact that deliveries to my address from Pinnacle were almost all depending on Murphy's law.

I'm confident that I can order the box. But the delivery depends on being home for receiving the TNT, UPS etc. guys. And when I'm not at home for a couple of days, they will send the box back. To a place, nobody knows.

That has happened a couple of times to me....[:'(]

Re: Should I be concerned yet?

Most delivery services have online tracking so you know when your package is going to be delivered. If you can't be there, arrange for someone to accept the package for you. Most services also make several attempts at delivery before they send it back to the shipper.

Re: Should I be concerned yet?

Still waiting for my email.  I discovered that I originally registered my software at avid.com, not Pinnaclesys and apparently I should have my email by 25th March so I guess they are taking it to the wire! I cant work out how to make sure that I receive news update email from Avid.com, there doesnt seem to be a profile page to logon to. (I have made sure I am receiving such emails from Pinnaclesys). Fingers crossed, nails bitten down to quick!
