    Should I be concerned yet?

I'm a registered Avid Liquid user ever since Liquid was a product, but I have not received any emails from Avid with details about converting to Media Composer 4.0 and Production Pak.  My understanding was registered owners would be emailed this week.  As it is Friday and I haven't received anything, should I be concerned?

Seriously, I'm not a pro....I'm just having some fun Cool

No, if you don't get it by early next week then we will need to do something. If you are registered user of Liquid you will get the MC upgrade.

Re: Should I be concerned yet?

It is a nail biting time ... we're now past the 'registration' deadline.  However, I checked several times - and so did Marianna bless her when I couldn't access the registration site - and I'm on board, ready ...

Nevertheless ... its like waiting for that cheque that's always 'in the post...' Confused

Re: Should I be concerned yet?

My apologies.  It was not my intent to demand action in my original post.  I'm just concerned that I'm not in the registered users database.  I'm assuming Marianna is the person over-seeing this emailing?  By all means - family first.  I apologize again if my original post came across as demanding.

ps. how does one check to see if their name is on the registration boards?

I would suggest you start here, and walk through the registration process again, entering exactly the same information as you entered when you first registered. If you're currently registered, you should get an answer something along the lines of "That registration already exists. Please enter a different name". That would definitely confirm that you are in the data base.

Re: Should I be concerned yet?

    HI all,

The email letters started being deployed late this afternoon with the first 12,000 of so hitting the states.  With that many going it might take a bit... but please do check your spam as I heard from a few thats where it landed.  Europe and Asia are deploying as wel but it might take another 24 hours or so.

If you dont get it Monday..... ping me.

Also, it is important to check your registration.... the opt in button is critical - you needed to check that - as we are prevented by law from emailing unless it is checked.

I will be on this weekend checking and then heading back to my folks Sunday.  I should be online Sunday afternoon and then all next week.

Thanks for the good thoughts on my mom.  Her stroke last year was challenging and now even an infection sets her back.  :)

Re: Should I be concerned yet?

Well, I don't want to prolong this too much, but, turns out I am registered under multiple accounts, one of which is no longer active because that email address has been deactivated.  I'm concerned that perhaps my deactivated account will be used for this emailing from Avid.  The good news is there is an active, registered, valid account for me so I should get the email....altho I do get this nasty little feeling that this is going to be an issue into next week.

BTW, when I access my other active accounts and enter the serial number to register AL7, I do NOT get a "that registration already exists" or similar message.  The only message I get is "Thank you for registering Avid Liquid 7" no matter how many times I enter the serial number.  I get the exact same customer care number each time tho.  Bottom line - I have registered accounts for Avid Liquid 7 and the box is checked to keep me informed of offers and upgrades.  I will let this rest until Monday.

    Thanks all for the help!!

ps. yes, I am checking my junk mail and nothing there either......

Re: Should I be concerned yet?

Hello. I too havn't received my email yet (and I have checked the spam filter). I went in and made sure the 'receive future emails' box was checked last Friday - have I missed the boat? What is the status on sending emails to European (in particular UK) users.

Re: Should I be concerned yet?

Marianna posted over the weekend that the European estore was still 'equipping', and that we should hear by Wednesday / Thursday of this week.  If after that you haven't heard, that's the time to start panicking...
