Am i correct in saying only your ethernet clients get kicked off?  If so, there are extensive posts about this issue with 4.x to 5.x and MC 2 in the unity forum.

I even bet a moderator is going to move this to the unity forum:)

bengo82, make sure you don't have duplicate workstation names among Unity FC clients.

I don't have duplicate workstation names Unity FC clients...

It's possible, this message appear when i use the administration tool with an other client or in the server. When I create, delete, modify workspace, this message maybe appear in a FC clients.

    I'm still working on.

You are aware that ProTools are not supported with MadiaNet 5, aren't you?

See if it gets better when ProTools are off.

When protools was not installed, i had the same error...

This morning, i had a "lost connection" message to a client when an other client shutdown.

    it's maybe the reason.

There may be a bad HBA somewhere. Check if all the HBA have the right firmware and drivers installed.

What you should do is check the Unity event logs every time you lose connection, especially when a client powers up or shots down.

I think the HBA has the good firmware and driver.

The event log is empty about this.

There is a file attachment with the ATTO configuration on the all client

    This all looks OK.

It is possible, that you have a faulty component somewhere in the Fibre network, which propagates the fault somewhere else. That's the problem with Fibre Channel - a bad drive or even an SFP may cause a failure some place you'd never think is of.

I think you are in for a challenge. Try to look for a pattern of some sort. Make sure the disconnects are not timed to booting or restarting computers. Keep a close look at the File Manager's event list and drive errors in the Unity Monitor. With so many clients it may take a while to find the colprit.

I have in the monitor tool, 22 drive error on the same drive. it may be due to this error but it started 2 days ago. I change this disk Monday.

This morning, I activated the logging option in the monitor tool, and it made it worse.
Every time I launch the administration tool server-side, I have the intuition the message appears more often when the client is idling.

I made a little search in internet and I found this link below :
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/138365/FR/

Maybe it's a related to the idling situation explained above....

Thanks Andrei for your interest and patience (for my english ;-)))
