Same for Marquee. Any ideas why anyone?
Considered if it was anti virus analysing the app before every boot but doesnt seem to be the case and every other app outisde Avid boots up super quick.
Im trialing the latest version before any dongle crossgrade and of course thios is a dealbrealer but dont have Avid support credentials to get help during a trial. I shant mention bins/containers mess but it aint looking good to stay.
Thx

Are you trying to access the "old" title tool, as it's known now?
Ideally you need to use titler+ now.
I've just tested classic title tool on my Windows 10 PC running 2022.12
Title tool opens in afew seconds and saves and works as expected.
So it should work.

I've just tested today on my system. Windows 11, 20 seconds for me too on v22.7
But havent used it in ages, as barely use titler+ either. photoshop/after effects for me now for titles.
I'm on Win 11 too...
I slogged hard to learn the unpleasant Marquee and do character animations and naturally quite like having the app live in the timeline rather than round tripping via Photoshop (and remembering to save as PNG or you dont get the drop shadows!)
Wonder how I can flag this up to Avid - its pretty unworkable. I tried Titler+ once as I had to have UHD captions - carnage - in fact other than the 4 mins to export a 23 min viewing copy MP4 there is little to love about the 'new' twenties versions!
How many fonts to you have? When classic Title Tool opens it scans your system font folder. If you have 1000s of fonts it takes an eternity to open.
I'm afraid flagging an issue to Avid on the old title tool would be like telling GM or Ford that your 1972 vehicle's airconditioning sucks.
They have moved on...we have all moved on...to a titler+ program with enough "flags" around it to look like the United Nations.
Personally, i've moved on to Fusion or New Blue Titler, depending on the circumstance.
Glenn Sakatch:we have all moved on
Not to be snarky, but this is the PC forum, and Windows users can still use the legacy title tool. I'm avoiding Titler+ with all my strength.

This is interesting! I built my new system and loaded about 3000 fonts from a folder i'd been stashing fonts in for years... Far more than I have ever had loaded on previous systems. Its way too much to trawl through! I know what to try - thanks
As much as I dont want to admit it, Glenn is correct. Classic TT is not coming back and the longer you delay the harder it will be, especially if your business depends on sharing projects. If you don't share, I too recommend using a third party titler if you cant stand TT+.
