Transferring Avid to a new Computer

    Hello,

Forgive me if this topic has been addressed.

I've been using Avid MC for nearly 10 years - on the same computer (Mac OS X 10.13.2).  I finally got a new computer, running MacOS High Sierra.  However, I've realized I might be unable to transfer Avid over onto the new computer.  I've been running Avid MC 6.5, with a Permanent License and no expiration - however, it seems I'm unable to enter my information (system ID, etc.) to download the software onto the new computer, and the original install discs don't work.

Am I out of luck, and have to purchase it again?

    Hello anglerust,

Avid MC 6.5 is not qualified with High Sierra. You can however, download from your Avid download center the soft copy of MC 6.5 if the disc don't work.

    Lion 10.7.4 – 10.7.5,
    Mtn Lion 10.8.2 –
    10.8.5
    Mavericks 10.9, 10.9.1
(with the 6.5.4.1 patch) 10.9.2 (with
    6.5.4.2 patch) 10.9.5
    (with 6.5.4.4 patch)

    Regards,

    RalphC
