intel pro/1000 pt dual port server adapter #7 link has been disconnected

    Hello,

we have an isis 5500 server working perfectly. The only problem is the above warning message. The configuration of our server is with the additional 4 port adapter ( there is no switch ). We only get the above message when the port is NOT CONNECTED to a client. We have 6 systems connected, 4 directly to the server and 2 via the additional card. Port 7 & 8 are not connected to anything and we are getting this message ( #7 & #8 link has been disconnected ).

Is there any way of suppressing this warning message ? Is it critical ?

    Help please

    Thank you

I have not used an ISIS with direct connection for a while. But this warning can safely be ignored.

Are you seeing this in the System Status History? Can you attach a screen capture? What version of ISIS are you running?
