Even since I've upgrade to 8.8 and 8.8.1 I'm getting a Dialogue box that pops every time I open the Source Browser. If I hit Continue Avid doesn't crash most of the time but it does occasionally. I will add a screen grab of it.
AMA however is prone to crash quite often if I AMA Link a Video File and then delete the Master Clip. It seems to crash almost everytime I AMA to an OP-1a MXF Clip but far less often with other files like ProRes or DNxHD.
I do this often to check the final exported files for proper Audio Track Allocations and just over all QC and Confidence.
Just saw that 8.8.2 is there for download and I will give it a try.
Maybe I will need to trash all my preferences but I'm not looking for to setiing up all my site settings again.
Thanks
Still doing the same thing after an 8.8.2 Upgrade and Trashing all my Preferences.
I'm experiencing the same issue. It happens everytime I go to the Source Browser. It doesn't crash my system if I continue, but it doesn't link or import my files - nothing! I trashed all of my settings - still dead in the water!
I've noticed another post from someone else that's having the same issue.
Maybe this will help you untli the Source Browser issues are fixed.
You may already know this but if not just Option - Drag the clips you want into a bin and they will AMA Link.
