    Location of MCState file (Mac)

Here is my problem. I teach at a University with many Avid installations. Occasionally I have to delete the infamous MCState file to get a system to behave. This year the IT department has removed my admin rights so I can't delete anything from the Applications folder.

So, my request is this: can the system be recoded so that the MCState file is written to a subfolder in HD>Users>Shared>AvidMediaComposer? That folder holds a bunch of stuff that is not project or user specific already. I know this is a big ask but looked at logically, I think it would be a valuable improvement.

    Thanks for reading.
