    Quicktime Live Link feature...

New option in the past few versions found in the Link Settings dialog, under the Link Options tab.

Can someone explain why this setting may be used?  Under what circumstances?  The manual states:

"Select this option if your editing workflow includes QuickTime movies where the number of tracks, the duration, or the edit rate, but not the file name have been changed in After Effects or Final Cut Pro."

Why would this matter?  What is the benefit or intended workflow for this new setting?

    Thanks

    Andi

I'm thinking one situation would be graphics comps that change length ("10 seconds felt too fast, so we rebuilt it at 15!"), or maybe if you're incorporating another video into your Avid sequence, and that video gets revised.
