We are looking into a new workflow (for us) and use DaVinci Resolve to ingest material, offline editing in MC in DNxHD 36 and then back to DaVinci Resolve for the grade/color correction.
Someone then mentioned that we should not use space in the name for the Master Clip in MC when we log the clips? Because this will interrupt and create chaos the roundtrip between Resolve and MC?
Anyone has experience about this?
If you are working with this roundtrip workflow with DaVinci Resolve and MC, in what way are you working?
Due to the extended and increasing amount of material that the productions are filming and the use of "too many" cameras and codecs, we need to go "low-resolution" offline editing and then link back to original media via Resolve to make the grading(color correction. Why use Reslove? It's a tool that gives us much more and powerful options then Symphony. And we don't know how much longer Symphony will actually be around...
You might consider Baselight for Avid if you are interested in exploring other workflows. Baselight is a very powerful cc and grading tool.
