A little option in Google Chrome which is very useful:
How about implementing a similar option for bins in Avid? Right click on a bin, "close all other bins". Preferably with the option to select several bins (to not close). Would be very useful for quickly tidying your workspace of all those pesky music and SFX bins without for example reloading your sequence or trying to remind yourself where you got to in a rushes bin!
Good idea!

You can of course create bin layouts. I have one layout with all bins closed.
You can then have multiple bin layouts with selections of bins set.

Pat Horridge: You can of course create bin layouts. I have one layout with all bins closed. You can then have multiple bin layouts with selections of bins set.
I'm Interested in how it works for you:
Can you select your "Close All" bin layout with a single keystroke, or
is it necessarily a mouse maneuver?
I learned recently that I could not map/assign
my custom workspaces to the keyboard (on 7.0.4).
This would be handy.
An Option/ALT+right click on the selected bin would yeild an alternate command of close all other bins.
The only way currently to work around this is to CTRL+A to select all bins, close them by selecting Close Selected bins and then re-open the one you want.
This can be aided by a temporarily clicking into Flat Bin View somewhat FYI.
