Up until a few versions ago (7.5 or 8.0 probably) Ctrl+/ used to be a keyboard shortcut to fit a sequence to the timeline window ("show entire sequence"). In the timeline hamburger menu it still says "Ctrl+/" next to "Show entire sequence", it just doesn't actually work anymore. Any way we could get this back?
I've found this on a dozen setups in the last six months or so, so it's not (just) my setup or settings.
Can anyone on 8.3.x reproduce this issue?
Not a command I am familiar with but with 8.3.1 just now on a Windows 7 SP1 computer it seems to work. Shows the whole timeline but does not necessarily take up all of the available space in the timeline with shorter sequences (less than 2 minutes)
In my timeline settings I do have "Show Entire Sequence Ctrl+/" selected (Tick on the left side of it)
I use that all the time and haven't had a problem on v7, not sure I've used it on v8 on a PC yet but certainly still works on a Mac (CMD+/).
works here on 8.3.1
the time you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted time...
Works for me on both 8.2.2 and 8.3.1.
