    The Dip to Colour

    Hi guys,

In teh Quick Transition menu, I would like to do a "Dip to Colour", but when I select it and put it to the timeline it uses black by default and I want to use a sky blue. Can anyone tell me or possibly link me to a tutorial for how to do different coloured dips in this way?

    Thanks :)

    Mark

Just park your timeline bar on the transition, select the track it is on, and open the effect editor. There you can choose the color of your liking.

If you want to use this effect multiple times, just drag the effect icon from the effect editor to a bin. And from the bin to the points in the timeline where you want this dip to color effects to appear.

To make it even quicker to apply more of these customized dip to color effects:

-as described before, enter effect mode to adjust the dip to color effect to your likings.
-make a new bin called exactly: Quick Transitions

-drag the effect icon (purple little square)  from the effect editor to that Quick Transitions bin, and give it an appropiate name (blue dip ie.)

-Everytime you apply a Transition in that project, this customized dip to color will appear in your drop down list

    Re: The Dip to Colour

Wow great! That's going to save me a lot of headache trying to grab the same colour again and again, in the way that I just figured out how to do it.

Thanks for your help. I made this crappy tutorial when I just managed to make it work by just clicking around basically.

Can I paste your response into the comments on that video so people have a better idea of what to really do with a credit of your screen name on this forum?
