    ameBaseStream::Connect failed to connect

    I had a clip that was acting like it might have trouble so I took the media offline and reimported from the original aaf and mxf media file (these are transcodes from R3D) I have been getting this error ever since.

    I can import the clip into another project and see it and play it fine.  However when I open that bin in my current project, I get this same error.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, Jayson

    Same resolution and frame rate in both projects?  Are you importing or dropping the MXF files in the Avid MediaFiles folder and linking to the AAF?

    I am dropping the transcoded mxf files in the workspace, rebuilding the database and importing the aaf files into the project. they have the same resolution and frame rate.

    Thanks,

    Jayson

    The workspace being the Avid MediaFiles folder?

    If the files play OK in a different project, you might want to try trashing the settings.  If they don't play properly in a different project, try remaking them from the original media.
