    Media size

    Hi
We have a problem with the "Media size" showed in the Avid Interplay Access of the master clips. Sometimes  some clips were initial checkin with 160,29 GB, but these are not your sizes. When we tried to fix that updating from Media Indexer, then the files sizes are modified with the value of 25MB. This value is always changed after this operation of update from media indexer for any file/master of the system.

It´s hard manage a system with this bug

    Any idea (without change version)?

    Avid interplay Version 1.6.0.9885

    Regards

    Re: Media size

The size on checkin is an estimation to avoid time costly file i/o. This was improved in later versions. you could potentially improve this by just upgrading the component performing the checkin.

    Re: Media size

    Hi

The size showed in Interplay after using "Update from Media Indexer" should be easy to optain. It is a OS value and the Media Indexer only need to add the sizes of files.

    Regards
