Peter:Questions from Avid Engineering:
What format is your audio?

Larry Rubin: Peter:Questions from Avid Engineering: What format is your audio? Are you mixing down to mono or stereo? What is your original source that the audio media came from?
In the scenario I described in my detailed post a day or so ago:
- the AUDIO FILE FORMAT was PCM(MFX).
- in this project I was working with MONO tracks, so the MIXDOWN was MONO. But I did convert the project to STEREO at one point to see if the AUDIOSUITE tool would work correctly on STEREO. I did not.
- the original source for this project was from a Sony PMW-EX1R XDCAM that came in through AMA and was transcoded to the 30i NTSC.
Peter:
Avid engineering converted some XDCAM media to 30i NTSC, DV 25, 48Khz audio and tried the test again - and they got the same results; everything is working fine.
I don't think this is a bug, it's more likely that the media and/or sequence is corrupt (or something similar), since it seems no one else can replicate the problem. Please try importing or capturing some new audio media and see if the problem persists.
I cant seem to find patch 6.0.1?
yobro: I cant seem to find patch 6.0.1?
See my response to your same question in the other thread.
I am using MC 6.5.2.1 and still have issues with a PGLUE_IMPOLITE_PORT_NUMBER when my indicator line is on an exact edit point of an audio clip (SR is correct). In this case, it is happening mostly when I butt two sections of the same music track together, it gives me that error. If I move one frame forward or backward, it plays fine. It's quite annoying. It was happening quite a bit on my Symphony at home too (although not confirmed there since latest patch).
Works fine for me on IE10

Hi I have just upgraded from 6.5 to 6.5.2.1, but I can't seem to upgrade to 6.5.4.1
I started with Media Composer 6.5.0 some time ago I downloaded all patches and 6.5.2.1 worked like a treat, however 6.5.4.1 or .4.2 or 7.0.3 won't install claiming I need I newer version?
Is there a patch between 6.5.2.1 and 6.5.4.1 that could resolve my problem?
As a side note this is less urgent now as the reason for upgrading was to use 7.0.3 bins, 6.5.0 didn't like them but 6.5.2.1 seems fine - would still like to upgrade if possible, but thought I'd put that point out there too.
I believe you need to install the full version of 6.5.4.0 and then you will be able to apply either the 6.5.4.1 or 6.5.4.2 patch
6.5.4.0 is found here
Wow thanks Andrew, so I guess it's a full install that's required - a shame.
As I'm planning on upgrading all the way to 7.0.3 and have patches 6.5.4.1, .2 and 7.0.3 will they all be usable patching from the 6.5.4 version?
Why not go straignt to 7.0.3 with a full installer
Thanks Pat, just wanted to see if there was a way for me to salvage the Mbs already used on these earlier patches, and also we all know how wonderfully easy the install process is with MC, or possibly any Avid system, am avoid re/installing like the plague... Actually I'm being unfair on the plague, the Avid install process never ends.
Sorry if this has been mentioned before but cant find an answer.
Have upgraded my PC to Windows 8.1 from 7 (Not sure why I did this and may regret it) Will MC 6.05 work with Windows 8.1.
Having a few problems, wont load anything including in trial mode.
