    Request Voting System

How about a way that people could vote a yes or no on a feature request.

Then there could be a page we could go to and look at what are the most requeted features and vote on them if we haven't already.

    One vote per user profile.

This idea has been suggested but attracted quite a negative response from the "old" MC user (I do not understand why..):

    Re: Request Voting System

Digg-style feature request systems are common these days and a damn good idea. It not only gives you a good idea of how many people want what, but has very useful side effects like

    • lets people easily see what others want and add a vote to things they'd never thought of themselves

    • you can easily centralise requests instead of having 18 different threads around the place or comments within hundreds of other threads throwing around the ideas

    • gives Avid an easy way to quickly feed back on the status or possibility of particular features, thanks to the aforementioned centralising

    Dropbox's Votebox is a good example https://www.dropbox.com/votebox

+1... although doesn't mean the most popular can easily be implemented... or necessarily should be.
