Re: Avid Media Composer 5 getting Started Training

Good training for beginners. Douglas, Your tutorials explaining some advanced features. However, the most complete course for Avid systems that I saw is Avid Editing Essentials Series (Level I-IV) with Steve Bayes. Unfortunately there are no updates on the latest version.

WOAH! all this is free? i would have to pay from the lynda site with this. how is this possible? thank you anyways avid with FREE 2 hrs of beginner training...its is VERY USEFUL! I've never seen a company do this actually......im suprised.

I don't understand this. Surely tutorials help draw-in customers so why wouldn't a company provide tutorials for essential training. Adobe does it to some extent, but not as nicely presented as Avid has done for MC 5. I can see paying for advanced training, but this beginner stuff to get you going should always be free. I'm very glad to see that Avid agrees with me Stick out tongue

Re: Avid Media Composer 5 getting Started Training

This link is broken. I can't find some answers and was hoping that this might be able to clear things up for me. How can I access this tutorial?

Also I just downloaded MC8 is there something for that version?

    Thank you

Re: Avid Media Composer 5 getting Started Training

MC 5 and even MC 6 are very old now so its not easy to find tutorials still online.

There are various V8 tutorials around but if you have specific questions then ask them in the forum.
