Marianna,
This is one great intro to MC5. I have only seen the introduction because I am at work, but this promises to be a very valuable adjunct to facilitate the learning curve.
Thanks for posting this
Denny
Thanks Marianna this is comprehensive will be useful to a lot of people.
"Out of mud the lovely Lotus Blooms, Out of Strife something higher vies "
This is the best and most comprehensive presentation of any MC version I have seen.
I will be watching it over the next few days.Highly recommended!
In addition to the content I can actually understand the accent

I watched all of these this afternoon and they are outstanding. This is the same guy that's cut a lot of Avid's promotional material like the NAB show reel. This guy knows his stuff. Much better than the previous Lynda.com ones for Avid Xpress, and the old "interactive" flash Avid tutorials. I noticed these are offered for pay on Lynda.com as well but it's great that Avid is offering these for free on their site. Strong, freely available training material is an absolute asset to any software's success. Keep it up.
These are amazing tutorials, they cover all aspects of MC-5 & give us the insights to dig deeper into the power of this amazing software. I'm glad I waited for the real Next Gen!
Regards
Mike
I agree with all and I really hope a moderator will consider getting a reference to this video training either pinned at the top of the forum or doing something to make sure it gets people's attention.
I looked on Tips and Tutorials tab link above and did not see a referrence to this training, I would think there would be.
THESE ARE GREAT TUTORIALS ! WELL DONE, INFORMATIVE. If you grasp all the concepts and terminology presented, many many questions that you may have might get answered - as well as helpful pointers given. I found myself watching them 2 or 3 times making sure I understood what was being said and shown- and I am sure I will be back a few more times as I get trying what I have seen,
I would recommend that EVERY LIQUD user at least give a gander to these. It is amazing how similiar MC's functions are to many of Liquid's. The advanced tutorials really show that.

I've been cross posting it into several other thread so far...
thanku for these wonderful tutoriala!! they will benefit me a lot especially that i am a coder and new to the world of editing! however i noticed the backg color of avid is modified, i didnt like so much, it confuses the eyes...
Really clear tutorials although it doesn't goes as deep as I hoped it would. So far MC 5 looks great, expect for the dark background. I suppose you can change it if you really want, it distracts the eye and deneutralise the way you look at clips.

Bob,Near the end of this Tutorial (around 13-14 minutes in or so) you can see that you can change the interface brightness.
Ahh Thanks a bunch Douglas, the rest of your tutorial is also really usefull. I'm looking forward to be working with MC 5 next month, some features make life definitely easier.
