how to relink a replaced media clip in the bin?

playback stopped after a couple of days  on one clip for inconsistency check failure!?!

i figured something happend to the media.

i deleted the clip from the bin and reimported the exact same clip from the original hd.

    i refreshed the media directories.

so far, i've not been able to relink the clip, trying to save the edits and effects that were originally applied: several timewarp etc.

all i see is media offline.

i could easily redo the edits, but in this learning stage, i would rather go the other way.

    is this possible?

You need to save the master clip and use the batch import function to have it auto-link and replace in the timeline.

Master clip = the pointer file you see in your bin.

{EDIT} Sorry, didn't see your "never mind" in the email.
