    DIO Runtime errors on install

I can't install my  new media composer on my  computer b/c i get things like DIO Runtime or

" This application has failed to start because CoreServices.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I saw this in the knowlaedge base BUT it tells me delete it from my add/remove list in  control panel. When  i try to  delete it I cannot ! i simple can't remove the dio runtime. I therefore can't reinstall software ....

btw......i am thinking i am doing the right thing by installing the software while the dongle is plugged in ?

one more thing.... the first time i tried to install i had quicktime 7.4 on my  pc ....i then changed it do and older certified version... signed lost?

Re: DIO Runtime errors on install

I had this before but fortunately I make ghost images of my systems and once I'd ghosted back it was fine. It could be your hard drive has an issue but I've also seen it occur when installing with hardware or other drives attached but can't exactly rember the exact circumstances.

Try reinstalling with your I/O disconnected. Have you got a system back up you could reinstall ?

I'm hopefully getting a new 4.0 in April. [view my complete system specs]

If this job was easy it wouldn't be any fun.
