I've always had a dongle before, but I wanted to be able to use a PC at work and one at home, and so I switched to the online activation. Now that I've done so, I don't seem to be able to deactivate my Home PC while I'm at work. With Adobe, this works flawlessly, but it seems that with Avid I need to actually de-activate my Home PC while I'm actually, physically at home. Is this right? If so, this seems like a pretty terrible validation system. Maybe the worst I've ever seen. So, is there a way to disable a different PC while I'm not sitting in front of it?
I spend most of my time between New York and Los Angeles. In Nebraska.
With the Avid Link app you should be able to activate or deactivate a license from anywhere.
If that's not working you should create a case on the MyAvid support portal and someone will get to you asap.
