I need to convert my sad tired old dongle to SA so I can crank Avid up on some Big Sur M1 imacs. Dongle shows up in Avid Link (21.12.1, on an intel iMac running Mojave and Avid 20.10). License shows perpetual dongle and good through June. But only has the Dongle Update button. I have updated the dongle with the most current updater file in My Products, but it still only wants to update the dongle, instead of giving me the convert button
On the off chance it would work, I actually did try the SA number in My Products on an M1 and and it gave an invalid license number, so Im assuming that isn't active until I kill the dongle. Set me straight if I haven't got that right.
Anybody have an idea what I'm NOT doing here correctly?
Depends on how old the dongle is. Sometimes you literally have to run the updater just to make it new enough in order to present you with the converer link.

Thanks Chris, It's old but perfect shape (I treat it like the jewelry item it is). I ran the dongle updater several times, just to make sure it "took" but Dongle Updater button still there, no Dongle Converter button.
I guess I should add, this is a dongle with a perpetual license on the yearly contract, so it gets blasted every year. It shouldn't be THAT far behind!
Gotcha.
So this is the process you are following, and are not seeing the correct buttons in, correct? https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/How_To/How-to-convert-your-Dongle-license-using-Avid-Link
Yup, and this is all I get (attached, cropped to hide sys ID).
I have seen Convert Dongle in the past, as a normal state there unless it need an update. But I've given it the update several times (you can tell it took from the license expiration). I thought maybe the Avid Link version was the problem, but its current correct? 21.12.1?
Mojave or the install of Avid 20.10 shouldn't be the problem right? Avid Link is supposed to be the onlyfactor fooling with licenses, and that's up to where it's supposed to be.
Stumped here, and the license is useless for the iMacs. Let me know if there is more info I can provide. Really appreciate the help. This isn't the only dongle license I'm going to have to convert here..

Scroll down past step 7 to where it says "Manual Entry". Does that method work?
Already tried that one (as in previous post saying the Activation code in My Products shows ID as invalid). But I had done it on the M1, so tried it over on the Intel for giggles. Samne result.

Okay, I've created case # 04356168. Someone should be contacting you via email shortly. (The email address used by your MyAvid.)

Thank you so much, huge help!
PS: @ Chris, problem was resolved, thanks for the escalation assist!
Excellent!
Glad I was able to wave my arms violently enough to get their attention :)
