Hi all,
I'm working on the PL for a big project, and all the media is offline. I can find all the bins (.avb) on the drive from where I'm working, but I can't reveal any of the files from the bins. When I try to relink the files, I can't select "selected items in ALL open bins". Is there any way to relink all the rushes bin? All the .xml files I can find have a different name convention from the files on the project. Maybe the person from where I took the project forgot to pass me all the files.
Could you help me with this, please?
Thanks.
Where is the actual project media?
Avid projects and bins only contain metadata.
The actual media lives outside the oroject.
If the media is Avid media (created by ingesting the sources and transcoding to Avid MediaFiles then as long as that media is in the correct path off the root of a mounted drive Avid will see it, no need to relink.
Only AMA linked media would need to be re AMA linked to a new bin to relink to tge sequence.

The actual project media is on the same drive.
I found out that the names of the files are different in the project. How can I link them now?
Thanks for your help!
Hello,
I think we need some more information here before we can advise you properly.
- What version of Media Composer are you running?
- Are you working on shared storage or on individual hard drives?
- You mentioned that you are accessing media that someone else ingested somewhere. How did they do so? Did they use Media Composer to ingest it? Or are they simply files from a camera dragged onto a drive?
- What version of Windows or macOS are you running?
Thanks

I solved it now!
My miskate. I had to recreate the PL in avid, so I used the last cut of the edit to work on it.
Thanks, everyone, for your help!
