I am resarching alternatives to using a mouse to run Media composer. Any thoughts on tablets, track pads etc ?
Thanks
Gary
I've used many trackballs and mice, currently I use the Kensington orbit fusion trackball. It's very comfortable with a decent array of programmable buttons, some which I use for undo, all tracks on/off, and other commonly used commands. My favorite device of the past 20 years.
There are other threads that address this subject, fwiw.Personally I use an Apple Magic Trackpad 2. I also use a Wacom Intuous, but mostly for drawing and photoretouching, in addition to my iPad Pro with Astropad for drawing in Photoshop, etc. I haven't used a mouse in a couple of years. Here is another thread:https://community.avid.com/forums/p/203346/909551.aspx#909551

I'm a big fan of the medium Wacom. Been a steady companion of mine for like 20 years. Definitely a faster and more relaxed way to interact with most any software. Still keep a mouse connected as no tool is perfect in every situation.
I also used a 6x8 Wacom Intous 2 for many years, loved it till I went remote and it didn't work because of some weird delay issues... I currently use a Kensington Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball, larger ball and I can basically keep my hand flat...although I also really like the Evoluent Vertical Mouse, helps with the carpal tunnel pain...
