Greetings,

I'm currently on Media Composer 2019.6 and Pro Tools 2019.6, on MacOS 10.13.6, but the Silhouette plugin for After Effects does not work on anything lower than 10.14.

Current Machine:
MacPro 2013 
2.7GHz 12-core with 30MB of L3 cache • 64GB (4x16GB) of 1866MHz DDR3 ECC • 1TB PCIe-based flash storage • Dual AMD FirePro D700 GPUs with 6GB of GDDR5 VRAM Video file read/write drive 

Based on the compatibility tables 10.14.6 seems to be the OS I should go with but I was just curious if there were any known compatibility issues with MacOS 10.14.6 Mojave?

Is 10.14.6 the way to go? Thanks for any insight!!!

G'day there!

Here is the download for macOS 10.14.6 https://apps.apple.com/au/app/macos-mojave/id1398502828?mt=12 which allows you to use the legacy Title Tool and Marque, unlike macOS 10.15 and later.

Is there a reason for staying such an old version of Media Composer?  The 'new UI' has improved so much in the last two years not to mention the long list of new features.

Let us know if the above link works, or if you have any troubles upgrading your OS/software.

I'm running Media Composer, Pro Tools 2021.7, latest Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects 18.4.1) on Mojave 10.14.6 on my Mac Pro.

I haven't upgraded to Catalina mostly due to the fact that AVID has not provided a driver the the Mbox 3 Pro and probably never will. :(. But, I am missing out on several Pro Tools plugins that require Catalina. Very frustrating!

I too have a system running latest Adobe CC and Media Composer 2021.9 on Mojave. This is to allow all the goodness of Quicktime and the legacy Title Tools to be available in MC.  But I believe the next version of the Adobe CC won't support Mojave, so crunch time is approaching!

Thanks for for the feedback everyone! I went ahead and updated to 10.14.6 over the weekend, and to MC 2020.6, which was the last upgrade in my license, and it's suiting my needs at the present. Yea thanks for letting me know on the Mojave ending compatibility for Adobe CC, definitely something for me to stay aware of.

I guess with the new Adobe CC requirement it is inevitable. I hate to give up my Mbox 3 Pro.

Ayup... sure enough, I just got notifications (Adobe CC) that updates are available for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. When I click on it to do the update it says that it is incompatible.
