We would all welcome some feedback from Avid that Titler+ is being seriously worked on, and dare I say give us a prognosis for when it will be deployable in a prof environment. IIUC the intent was that folks from Avid would comment here, on the Titler+ forum, occasionally, but I have not seen any of that. I hope we hear something, anything, soon - let us know hard it's being worked on!!

Hi Bonang,
About a 2 years ago we set up a specific Titler+ Beta forum that was 100% dedicated to getting feedback on Titler+. The members of that team were all users that posted on either AEOF or the Forums about Titler+, and they helped us build a backlog of items based on all of the feedback we’ve received. Almost every release of Media Composer since has had improvements to Titler+ - from usability improvements to performance enhancements to new features. We have a dedicated Development team that only works on Titler+, and we intend to keep them on it until we are through our backlog.
Thanks,
RalphC
Thanks for your reply, Ralph. While it's true that most recent releases have had minor tweaks, and sometimes improvements, to the Titler+, it's been something like clearing the pebbles away from a path when you need to do is climb a mountain. Far too little, in far too long a time; this is not just my opinion, but consensus from all who comment here and on the other forums concerning Titler+.
What your message infers is that there are no major usability/stability/performance upgrades coming, when it's really a revolution that's needed. It's not *simply* a matter of working through the backlog of comments and complaints regarding Titler+ - everyone agrees it needs a fundamental reworking on its path to becoming a reasonably workable tool. This is clear if you read the comments addressing how poorly it still functions in comparison to the Title Tool, which itself has only ever been a basic titler and far from the best out there. But it works!!! And as Kate Ketcham wrote ten months ago in her opening and only comment so far in this forum, "we will also keep the "overall" Community in the loop." At a minimum it would help if that were to happen.
This is incredibly frustrating. With every upgrade I hope that TItler+ will be usable for even just very simple titles. It is shocking that even after so many releases we still do not even have BASIC functionality.
It is such a slap in the face to the Avid user base.
RalphC: Hi Bonang, About a 2 years ago we set up...a dedicated Development team that only works on Titler+. Thanks, RalphC

Two years? Two whole years? And this is where we're at?
Something is badly wrong here.

Worst features
#1 Titler +
#2 Symphony/ The now EOL Artist Colour.
Editing Movie Magic.
My Equipment & System Specs
Media Composer Ultimate 2022.7 | Pro Tools Studio 2022.7 | Avid Play | Sibelius Artist 2022.7
To be fair the Artist colour panel never really worked well with Avid.
It worked well with just about everyother grading solution but lagged and was temperamental with Avid so it's no surprise it was EOLd

far from ready for primetime - but the titler has come along way in the last couple versions. at least on my system i can make my simple slates and plain non moving black and white full screen temp title cards w/o pulling out my hair and they play in realtime.
other than that - its still broken af. adding color - let alone movement, or trying to re postion something once its layed in a timeline still garners inconsistnt results and more often than not - crashess/ lockups.
I created a temp card containing notes for a proposed VO - it was about 200 words, four paragrpahs. Typing it was a nightmare. As I typed, characters appeared onscreen at a speed of about one per second.
But I mean? It's TWO YEARS?? Two whole years have passed and we are still seeing constant complaints? How is this even slightly acceptable? Y'all need to hire some people who can fix this faster if you're not able to fix it yourselves. This is the absolute worst PR for your company, you are getting trashed continuously by your users. Every editor I speak to complains about this.

Avid has it's drawbacks, but it's still the best offline editor on the planet.

The problem is, I'm absolutely not sure this is true, not at all. It seems like all the innovation and creativity and 'big picture' approach happened in 1990, and just about nothing since has happened, except keeping up with the general state of the business. I know that's not true, but it feels like it.

Yeah, I sort of understand what you're saying, it has slowed down a bit and there are alternatives.
Still... It's the defacto standard. Can any other system connect 200+ offline edit suites at NBCUniversal, or at the BBC here in London? Avid offers an end to end solution, where are the Adobe control surfaces for Premiere Pro? Media management is also a big thing.

All of this is unquestionable, I agree. It's the best multi-editor system by a long mile.
Lots of good things one can say about Avid...but this forum concerns Titler+, and "the good and the bad" one can write concerning the Titler+. Surprised still no recent comment here from anyone at Avid in the know about Titler+.
