    NVIDIA driver GeForce RTX 2070

I just purchased an MSI laptop to do my remote avid editing on, Windows10, i7 2.30GHz, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super and I need the proper driver. Can someone point me in the right direction?

asking for a proper driver on an unqualified card will get you zero results.

just run the latest studio driver and it should work fine.

The only issues I see is crashing every now and then in full screen playback when switching apps like chrome (this could possibly exist on qualified hardware too, i wouldnt know though).  If youre using an output device like blackmagic, youll be 100% stable.

    Thank you.

I don't know what made me think I had a qualified card but I will try the studio driver.

Your specs don't say what version of MC you are running but if you're running a recent version you should get a warning on launch that your driver version is bad if it's 461 or below. The MC with a RTX series wants above 461 driver, ei 462+, which is available on the Nvidia site. And while it's not certified the RTX20XX/30XX series work like a charm on MC. You'll be very happy with that card knowing you didn't spend a small fortune on the certified Quardo series. I have a un-certified ASUS ZenBook DuoPro with RTX2060 and it works great, but the power supply to the computer is 128F degrees. I have a RTX 2060 in my HP Z840 and it also works like a charm. A major reseller, Pudget Systems sells a boat load of uncertified boxes with these cards. I don't get why Avid doesn't certify such a popular card.

MC 2020.06 w/Symphony option. BlackMagic DeckLink 12G, HP Z840 Dual 3.2Ghz/8 Core, 1TB SSD, 1TB Cache drive, 128GB Ram, Nvidia RTX2060 Super, BCC2020,... [view my complete system specs]

Yes, is software battling for GPU ressources.
Disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome will fix this.

And if anyone can tell me how to disable the same in Microsoft Word,
or why Office programs need GPU accerlation to begin with, I'm all ears Hmm
