    License Renewal Issues with MC Annual Subscription

    Last month I began an annual subscription to Avid Media Composer, paid for monthly.

    Everything worked great until a couple days ago when I started getting the following error message;

    License Renewal Not Successful: Waiting for Media Composer license data update, please do not reactivate your license

     

    I got a reply a couple days ago from tech support advising me to trash some license information files, and activate the software again which I did, to no avail.

    This error message started appearing about 3 days before my next scheduled monthly payment was due to take place. The monthly payment occured today, and I even got a confirmation e-mail saying so. But this morning I noticed that additionally I now have the following error message in the Avid Application Manager;

    License Renewal Not Succesful: The activation server could not be reached

    Now reaching out on here as I'm concerned I'll soon be locked out of the software, unable to continue work. Hopefully this error will not be a recurring problem every month before payment is taken.

    I'd appreciate any assistance.

    I have the same notiication on my system. I also am paying for an annual subscription.  Everything seems to be in order, I'm just a little worried that I'll soon be locked out of using my MC software.  That wouldn't be ideal since I'm working on stuff.

     

    I'm afraid to do anything because the notification also says "please do not reactivate your license".

     

    I have the latest Avid Link and Media Composer installed on my system.  

     

    In Avid Link it shows that Media Composer is "Activated" and includes several other columns of information including: System ID, Activation ID, Expiration, and Type.  It's green, I don't see any problems here, but when I load the MC software, on the launch screen (bottom right) it says "The license expires in 2 days.  Sooo.  I am using Avid MC for a project, it would be a shame to see it lock up on me for no reason before I was able to finish my project.  That's what I'm concerned is going to happen in 2 days.

     

    Dear Avid professionals, please advise. :-)
