Folks:
I'm pretty well into a project and need to install a new boot drive. While I feel I was pretty diligent in making sure the project media was stored on a sepearet external drive, I don't want to lose any little stragglers that might have stored on the boot for whatever reason...
Is there a command that will let me locate ALL media (originally linked/impoprted and/or created in avid MC) and then copy it to another drive so when I reopen the project anew, everything will be on that other drive?
Thanks!
Tom
Hi Tom,
I'd use the Media Tool (under the Tools menu) to locate all the media located on your boot drive and then consolidate (copy) it to whatever drive your media is supposed to be stored on.
Just in case you aren't aware, you can stop Media Composer from using the boot drive for media in the future by going to Project Window > Settings Tab > Media Creation settings, and in the Drive Filtering & Indexing tab, make sure Filter Out System Drive and Filter Out Launch Drive are turned on/checked.

Sounds like exactly what I needed. Thanks for the tips!
