Hi All,
Just discovered that in a 1080p50 MC project, the Blackmagic Mini Monitor device outputs 720p50 on the HDMI output. I found no way to force it to output 1080i50 instead.
I understand it will not support 1080p50, but why does it downconvert to 720p50 instead of 1080i50 ???
On the Blackmagic side, they seem to put the ball in Avid's camp:

To avoid misunderstanding:
With a 1080i/50 timeline, I can output 1080i/50 with the BMD Mini Monitor, as expected
With a 1080p/50 timeline, BMD Mini Monitor outputs 720p/50 (expected: 1080i/50 or 1080p/25)
Can AVID confirm this limitation or bug ?
I cant confirm this, but i also have a problem, i work in an 4k 25P project, with an Studio 4k. On my hd screen the output is cutted only on the left side. There seams to be a problem with the reformat. The second problem comes back into beeing with the newest driver (10.11.04): When i send my windows workstation in suspend and wake it up, its starts repeating the last audio frame, and do not stop after playing with this behavior- this was cured 2 Years before but now it comes back. Maybe also other people have problems with BM Drivers.Cheers C.

Marianna, can this be confirmed as "by design" (why ?) or should I fill a case ?
I assume because 1080i/50 is 25 FPS and not 50fps.

Agree but (not knowing the internals of the BMD driver or the MC I/O architecture) outputting 1080i50 from 1080p50 project doesn't look more complex (line decimation) than resize to 720 ? Resolve seems to be able to do this with the same hardware (https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=83166#p461380)
