    importing as 36 mxf

    Can I import videomaterial as 36 MXF and then export it to grading and sound?

    And when I get the graded material then I just create a new 175x MXF project

    and import the graded material as 175x MXF (eller another good format?

    Thank you!

    Re: importing as 36 mxf

    You can export 36 Video to grading but that is a very low resolution and not a good workflow imo.

    the usual workflow for this;

    link the footage using the source browser

    trancode linked footage to editing resolution dnx36 is lowest Rez and does not consume as much hard drive space as higher rez

    edit

    relink the finished edit to the original linked files

    transcode the relinked sequence to dnx 175 (or higher)

    export for colour grading

    check out this workflow utube from avid
