    Animatics (animation) Editing in AMC

    Hello community,

I've been working as an animatic editor in France for 5 years now, but only on Toonboom Storyboard (witch is the standard right here to keep the Storyboard/Editing workflow fluid through versions, and allows direct drawing corrections). It's limited, but does the job.

I'll work next week with a new production, with the US. They use AVID to do animatics (whitch is the standar in north america, I guess?). I've been working on AVID a lot, in live and for DEF episodes, but never for animatic. I'm feeling very confortable with the software, just dunno the way it generaly works.

Does anyone can tell me the standard workflow? Is there any particular way to ingest the medias (PSD\Jpeg)? Is there a standar to build timeline and track order? Titles? Does someone got tips for specific animatics editing (usefull features or shortcuts)? Anything about animatic in Avid :).

I'll be glad to share tips for Toonboom if anyone need someday.

    Thanks a lot by advance,

    Martin
